A pantry is a storage problem solved properly. We plan deep drawers, adjustable shelving, glass-front display and full-height cabinetry around what you actually keep — dry goods, bulk buys, serving ware, small appliances — so everything has a dedicated home and nothing has to live on the kitchen counter. The layout is worked out to the inch before a single panel is cut.
A working second kitchen
Butler's and walk-in pantries increasingly do real work: a dedicated coffee or prep station, appliance garages that hide the toaster and mixer behind a roll-up door, integrated dishwasher drawers, even a second sink. We design the counter run and services so the messy jobs happen out of sight of the main room, leaving the principal kitchen clear for cooking and entertaining.

A pantry cabinet, either a tall pull-out tower or a full-height cupboard with roll-out shelves, fits inside the kitchen run and suits most Toronto kitchens. A walk-in pantry is a small room lined with shelving for dry goods, bulk buys and small appliances. A butler's pantry is a working space between the kitchen and dining room, with counter space, often a coffee station, a second sink or dishwasher drawers, and display storage.

Planning pantry storage that stays organised
Pantries work best when storage matches what you store. Shelves for cans and jars rarely need to be deeper than 12 to 16 inches, because anything deeper gets lost at the back. Pull-out drawers and roll-out shelves bring the back of a deep cabinet to you. Taller sections take cereal boxes, bulk bags and small appliances, while shallow door racks hold spices and oils.
Plan power and ventilation for any appliances that will live in the pantry, add lighting so you can see what is on every shelf, and leave a landing surface for unpacking groceries.
